Who we are

We started Haus in 2015 because we thought the options to buy or sell a home were confusing, archaic and expensive. With all the advances made in other industries, it's hard to believe that residential real estate was virtually unchanged for fifty years. With all this technology available, how could it still cost 6% to sell a home?

Haus is built to enable anyone and everyone to sell and buy homes the way they see fit. No longer do you have to choose between saving money or having a great experience.

Our team

Haus was founded at Expa, a startup studio that works with founders to develop and launch new products. Garrett Camp, co-founder of Uber and StumbleUpon and founder and CEO of Expa, serves as the partner for Haus advising on product strategy and design.

Sarah M. Ham

General Manager

Sarah leads the Haus team, establishing the product vision, setting the business strategy and overseeing marketing and growth.

Mikko Tervahauta

Head of Engineering

Mikko is responsible for the engineering function at Haus, ensuring quick and focused development and delivery of new products.

Michelle Volz

Strategic Development Manager

Michelle leads business development and support focusing on recruiting users and working with strategic real estate partners.

Advisors & experts

Haus works with a team of real estate experts who advise us on the residential real estate transaction process, laws and regulations. The Haus platform was reviewed by, and all contracts were drafted by, attorneys who specialize in California real estate. The team includes a practicing real estate broker who has served on the board of directors of a local association of Realtors®.
